Congratulations to the following students for their fabulous results on the written theory portion of the WSMTA Music Literacy Program: Isabella (Level 1--100% High Honors), Lindsay (Level 1--100% High Honors), Kathryn (Level 1--100% High Honors), Jacob (Level 2--100% High Honors), Chelsea (Level 3--High Honors), Emily (Level 5--Excellent), Arielle (Level 7--Excellent), Kayla (Level 8--High Honors). To attain a rating of High Honors students must score above 94%; Honors above 86%, Excellent above 80%. Great job to all the students!!

Students are preparing for the WSMTA Music Literacy program in May. Lots of theory review going on in the studio! And check those piano bags...paperwork for the new studio year beginning in July has been sent home.

The studio is closed March 19-23 so that I may attend the MTNA National Conference!
A big congratulations to Kayla for her performance at the South King County Chapter Honors Competition. It was a solid performance of her Beethoven sonata movement and a stunning performance of the Chopin waltz!

Congratulations to Arielle who competed in the junior high division of the WMEA Green River District Piano Solo competition and received a superior rating. Congratulations to Grace and Kayla who competed in the senior high division of the WMEA Green River District Piano Solo competition receiving superior ratings.
December 2017
Students are working hard on music for the WMEA Green River District Piano Solo competition in January, the SKCMTA Music Artistry Program in February, and the SKCMTA Chapter Honors Competition in March. I hope everyone is also enjoying listening to the holiday music we have added in addition to all our "usual" repertoire pieces. The studio will be closed from December 21st through January 3rd for the holidays. Lessons will resume on January 4th. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Just a reminder that the studio will be closed November 21 through November 23 for the holiday. I will see everyone on the usual schedule beginning November 27th.
